The origin
Every closing is the same slow chase: redlines by email, signatures by app, wires by fax-adjacent ritual, then a week of checking whether everyone did what the document said. The deal is done; the closing isn’t. Trillions of dollars sit in that gap.
We noticed that the document was never the product — the obligations inside it were. So we founded Firma: contracts as live workflows, where signatures trigger escrows, escrows trigger filings, and every party watches the same clock run down instead of chasing each other around it.
Firma launched with title companies and mid-market M&A shops, the people who feel closing pain weekly. It spread the way good tools do — one counterparty at a time, invited into a deal and staying for the next one.
Our close time went from three weeks to four days. Firma made the paperwork the fast part.
